Creating a few small lounge areas at a wedding or party provides your guests with a place to relax, mingle and recharge throughout a busy event. Incorporating a lounge into your event theme will really make the space your own. Like the idea of a comfy lounge area but not sure where to start? Here are some tips:
MEASURE YOUR SPACE:
Before you make any decisions about creating a lounge area you should measure the space you wish to use. Knowing the measurements will ensure you select the correct furniture and rug size.
BUILD ON YOUR THEME:
Mix and match furniture and soft furnishings to create an interesting look. Choose a cohesive colour palette to make choosing prints, furniture, and textiles easier and more stylish. Ensure the lounge reflects you and fits in with the rest of your event design.
VARY THE SEATING OPTIONS:
Opt for a combination of sofas and armchairs. When planning your layout start with larger pieces like a sofa or rug and build from there. You can carefully mix traditional styles with more modern pieces, choose furniture pieces that complement each other, they do not need to match.
INCORPORATE MULTI-FUNCTION ITEMS:
Small stools can be used as additional seating or a handy side table. Poufs can serve their main purpose as additional seating, they can also pull up to rest tired legs or be used as a side table.
CHOOSE PLENTY OF CUSHIONS:
